Today, we’re going to talk about tips and tricks for calming and relaxing your body. Mainly, we will discuss essential oils or herbs for this, as we have covered this in similar topics previously. But we will touch on the tips of what you can do as well.
First, why should you take time to relax and enjoy the calm evening/morning of your day? Because it’s crucial to your health. If you practice relaxing, it lowers your cortisol levels, that is, your stress levels. This in turn makes you feel better, improves sleep, brain function, body functionality overall, and promotes weight loss. You’ve heard the saying that stress is a killer. It is indeed. De-stressing is very important to your health.
You can relax and unwind with a cup of tea and a good book, perhaps even a nice fire in the fire place to enjoy on a cold winter day. Spa’s and massages are beneficial to helping you unwind after a long and hard day. And of course, working out and going for nature walks are wonderful for lowering cortisol levels as well.
But let’s focus today, on how to make your own little spa for your relaxing time. You can take a nice epsom salt bath to begin relaxing, and a bonus is that the magnesium in the epsom salt will also help you sleep better at night. We are all magnesium deficient. It’s very difficult to get enough of it in today’s society. An epsom salt bath will help you take in what you need, and will help your body work even better. You can add essential oils to this as well to help magnify the benefits. Here are some essential oils that will benefit you for this, and what else they’re good for.
